Staff from environmental health, the behaviour support team, anti-social behaviour unit and runaways team will be at the Naval Base over the next three weeks, helping to show schoolchildren how to stay safe and healthy.

More than 2,700 Year 6 pupils from schools across the city will attend our Junior Life Skills event, where they will find out about the risks and dangers associated with fire, electricity, water, drugs, anti-social behaviour, bullying and running away from home.

Professionals from the police, fire and rescue service, the Harbour Young People’s Service and the RNLI will also be at the event, leading practical and interactive activities and demonstrations.

The programme looks at a wide range of issues from bullying, anti-social behaviour and drugs misuse to basic food hygiene, beach safety and what to do if a fire breaks out.
